We all use apps on our smartphone multiple times-every day ! In this course students learn how to design/develop apps and games for Iphone and Android.

FUNDAMENTALS

Students will use block-based programming, while learning the foundational aspects of programming. They will learn about collecting data from phone sensors, designing user-interfaces, and layouts. The course also covers graphics, animation, and the basics of mobile game development. It blends theory and practice to help you get started with app building straight away.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE & AUGMENTED REALITY

* Develop apps across educational, fun, public service, gaming domains * Build AI-powered apps and games- across text, images, numbers, and sounds * Learn to use phone sensors and location data to build apps * Design iPhone and Android user interfaces - GUI, Layouts, and Forms * Re-enforce programming fundamentals (language-agnostic) - If-else conditionals, loops, event handling, variables, debugging

YOUR OWN COOL APPS

After completing this course, students will be able to design and program their own apps for iPhone and Android. They will then be ready for more advanced learning on Python or Web Development.

Course Duration

This course typically takes 3 to 4 months (with 1 class/week) to complete. This depends on the student's dedication to homework and their previous experience. All lessons are 1:1 following our “mastery-learning” approach, with the pace personalized for the student, and extra time taken to reinforce fundamental concepts as needed.

Pre-requisites

Some previous experience with Scratch or any other programming platform. Suggested for ages 10+.
